Democratic Party’s Data Movement
The Democratic Party’s data movement began in the early 2000′s with the development of the now defunct Demzilla. Before Demzilla the Democratic Party’s data collection efforts were very limited and consisted primarily of a database that held names and contact information on some 70,000 voters.
With Demzilla came the true power of knowledge. Each of the 150 million plus names in the database contained upwards of 200-400 bits of information. Race, gender, email address, family member names were all entered into the system. The GOP has a similar system, The Voter Vault.
Since Demzilla, the Democrats have moved on to other, bigger and presumably better data mining systems, but it all started with Demzilla.
The emergence of Nashi has faint parallels to that of the German Youth Movement in Germany (Die deutsche Jugendbewegung) – also known as the Wandervogel. The Wandervogel started and re-estabalished itself as an educational-cultural renewal movement in 1896. The question is not “if” Nashi the Russian youth movement will become radicalised into a political movement; the question is “when”.
Love is a movement or THE movement? What even does this mean? What is the theology of love in your understanding that you are able to identify love as a movement or THE movement? Just curious? Is love indeed a movement or an embodied sense or a practice or a virtue? What even does the Christian testament mean when, in particular, the Apostle Paul speaks about love being a gift?

Another thing they seem not to have groked is that I’m not actually part of the fat acceptance movement. I guess they assume that anyone upset about this must be.
However, you are part of the rudeness-resistance movement, the trolling-rejection movement, and the asshole-calling-out movement.
And by “part of” here I mean “indispensable to,” of course.
