As a Ben Franklin poet, I ask can Nashville, come up with a song for our children, where they tell the grownups, grow up and unite for their sake and educate them in Made in America History and Heritage of dreams of higher education. Can we have songwriters somehow come up with a song or two that invests in our children where they can sing the verse. Could harmony of music with American children say, America will never let its children down. What is better way in a recession, but to hear the children sing of hope. Nashville will you run with this idea, for I am just a poet, and you are the songwriters, musicians, and the American Artmosphere miracle of music. The sad thing is that one will label me a Liberal with an insane idea, but look into your hearts and imagine if you had a part in this children’s chorus song. I may leave Nashville soon, to say no one can create a miracle in Nashville in music. Rough idea, for it has to be from so many songwriters, and musicians, not just the Royalty.

November 4th brought historic change to our country, and President-Elect Obama came within 3 points of winning Georgia – largely thanks to your efforts. However, we have a little extra work to do. On November 4th, several candidates did not top the state-required 50% of the vote. Tuesday, December 2nd, there will be a Runoff Election that includes several statewide races as well as dozens of local and county runoffs from around the state.
You may think that the only race on the ballot Dec 2 is the US Senate race between Jim Martin and Saxby Shameless. You'd be wrong.
The Public Service Commission is a little known but extremely important entity that regulates and sets our utility rates. The Republican in the race used to be a Democrat until he was defeated in 2002, partially because of his corrupt ties to industries he regulated. Jim Powell is one of the most qualified people to ever run for PSC, and he has fought the GOP machine in the form of Karen Handel since the primary when she tried to remove him from the ballot. The GA Supreme Court stopped her. Jim Powell needs our support to win. Your utility bills depend on Jim Powell winning this race.
The GA Court of Appeals is technically non-partisan, and the two people running have long records of voting in GOP primaries. However, Mike Sheffield of Gwinnett County is the darling of the “Christian” Taliban in this state. Unless you happen to be ultra conservative, "Christian", married, with children – you can expect a deaf ear if Sheffield is elected. Sara Doyle, while a voting Republican, is endorsed by Georgia Equality. If she promises to fairly apply justice to gay people in Georgia, she is certainly better than Sheffield.
Turnout will be KEY in this run-off to get Democrats elected rather than obstructionist Republicans trying to stop the change we voted for on November 4th. Once again, it is going to be the Youth Vote that makes the difference in which candidate will win. Nationwide, on November 4th, Young Voters came out in record numbers to support Democrats, we need to do it one more time. YOU have the power to change this election for Democrats. Here's what we, as Young Democrats, can do over the next 2 weeks.
1. Pledge-to-Vote Online at www.georgiayds.org. After you have pledged, use the forward option to send an invitation to Pledge-to-Vote Democratic on December 2nd to at least 5 of your friends. You might be the ONLY person who can talk to your friends about voting for Democrats on December 2nd. Take this opportunity now! Pledge-to-Vote and then ask your friends to pledge to vote. You can also use MySpace bulletins, Facebook status and wall messages and personal text messaging as well. Then I thought, I wonder if the big celebrations might have additional food that could be donated to something like Second Harvest that accepts food from restaurants and uses it at soup kitchens. This is extra prepared food that has not been served,but would otherwise be put in the garbage. I also, wondered, if there is extra food when there are White House Dinners.I wonder if that could also be donated ?.
And, I thought, at the large government buildings with cafeterias, perhaps they could also adopt this. I don't know all the regulations or if it is possible, but I feel each little thing helps. It would also help the environment, because there would be less garbage to dispose.
The worst part of this idea- I live in an area that I couldn't even host a viewing, because my TV may not carry it.If you don't like the food pantry idea, you could promote it in terms of a need in your area or your concern.

Could not that nurture hope in them, so that they just do not give up.
We have to have retired talent teach American Public School children in volunteering twice a year or more inspiring them beyond Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic into Yes We Can Dream Education.
Where are the Constitutional supporters in the Obama cabinet?
People would be rioting in the streets because that would be a stupid, discriminatory idea that nobody would stand for.
People might realize how ridiculous it is to take a minority group, like gays, and ban them from getting married. It's the same thing, except gays are a historically persecuted minority group. Multiple religions and secular bigots owe gays an apology for bashing them into closets.

Katie Couric discussed her infamous interview with Sarah Palin Wednesday night on the "Late Show with David Letterman." Couric took Letterman inside the process of scheduling Palin's interviews — the campaign actually rushed an interview because "they didn't want a week to go by without hearing anything from Governor Palin," as Couric put it — and said the campaign was "very generous" and gave her "tremendous access" to Palin.
Couric said that Palin may have gotten tripped up because she was not prepared to answer more general questions during their interview following her visit to the UN.
"I started by asking her who most impressed her as Vice President and why, what was the best and worst things Dick Cheney had done as Vice President, why was Roe v. Wade an ill-conceived or a bad Supreme Court decision," Couric told Letterman. "And I think she really hadn't anticipated those kinds of questions, so I think it might've thrown her off a bit. And then we got into foreign policy — because, after all, she was at the UN meeting with world leaders — and clearly she was struggling with some of those answers."
While Couric did note that, in Palin's defense, they were not easy questions to answer, Letterman reminded her that the "What newspapers and magazines do you read?" question was an easy one that Palin blew. Couric explained how it came about and said that she disagrees with the way Palin is characterizing the question in post-election interviews.
"We we doing one of these walk-and-talks, it was a casual part of the interview, and I just said, 'I'm curious, what do you read? What has helped you shape your worldview? What do you read to stay informed?'" Couric explained.
"A good question but an easy question," Letterman said.
"It was just really something I was curious about," Couric said, "and I'm not sure whether she was afraid to offend certain people, if she would offend conservatives by saying she read the New York Times....Even in the post-election interviews, Dave, that she's done, nobody's really asked her, 'Why didn't you answer that question?' She claims that I said, 'What do you read up there in Alaska?' as if people in Alaska don't read or don't have access to reading materials. I never said that. I'm aware people in Alaska have access."
Couric also shared one question she asked both Palin and Biden that didn't air — what they missed most on the campaign trail. Palin missed running every day, while Biden missed being Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

CNN is reporting Wednesday night that Obama has chosen Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano to become secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.
President-elect Barack Obama's top choice for secretary of homeland security is Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano, multiple Democratic sources close to the transition told CNN on condition of anonymity.
One source said he believed the final decision depends on the vetting of the Democratic governor, much like the selection of Eric Holder for attorney general.

Besides, though you may not believe it, we don’t need you to tell us what’s wrong with Detroit.
We know what’s wrong with Detroit; they’re not selling enough cars.
And, because they’re not selling enough cars, General Motors is burning through cash at the rate of $2 billion a month.
We understand that at that rate, GM will soon run out of money . . . who wouldn’t?
We’ve also figured out that Chrysler is on its last legs.
And, we know that although Ford may not be in as bad shape as its ‘brothers-in-arms’, that big blue ain’t exactly sittin’ in high cotton.
We know that bankruptcy filings are possible, but we wonder, why would you push the Big Three that far?
What’s the gain?
Sure, you get to make political points and let us know how tough you are, but though the posturing is important to you, it isn’t to us.
We don’t care about how tough you are, we care about 3 million Americans who will lose their jobs; we care about thousands of Big Three vendors that will fail; we care about thousands of Chrysler, Ford, and GM dealerships that will lose even more customers if one or more of the Big Three file for bankruptcy protection; and we care about the ‘rumble’ effect that will take away tax revenues from entire states, counties, cities, and towns if the Big Three go down.
You want guarantees that the Big Three will become more efficient to be more competitive?
Okay . . . spell out those guarantees . . . chapter and verse!
You want the Big Three to build more fuel efficient cars and trucks?
Okay . . . tell them what you want and when you want it!
You want the Big Three to renegotiate union contracts?
Okay . . . tell them how much you think the unions should give up and when.
Just lay it out . . . tell them . . . and us . . . the truth about what you want.
Detroit will either do what you want or it won’t.
Don’t forget that the current crisis isn’t entirely the fault of the Big Three; after all, for the past eight years you and the Bush Administration overspent the nation into virtual bankruptcy, diluting capital available for consumer lending; causing unprecedented small business failures; helping to cause the Wall Street Meltdown and subsequent credit crunch and huge job losses.
So, what do you plan to do now about easing credit and what do you plan to do now about creating more jobs so more Americans can buy more of those more efficient cars Detroit will produce after your new rules and regulations kick in?
